Creativity carries us: It’s our strength and resonating voice. Our teams are never satisfied with creative that just “gets the job done.” Instead, they strive to produce work that truly echoes, coming back stronger than it went out.
And what came back to us at the Art Directors Club of New Jersey (ADCNJ) awards show last Friday was nothing short of golden.
echo Holiday Card—Best in Show, Best Print, Gold Award

Every year, we produce a special holiday card for our clients that includes a gift card to Donorschoose.org. With the gift card, they can donate to help fund a classroom project of their choice in an underprivileged school.
This year, we played off the classroom-based nature of the gift by designing a holiday card shaped like a desk. We also had some fun by spot-gluing the gift card to it with a piece of chewing gum!
This playful yet philanthropic approach earned us a hat trick at the ADCNJ show: Best in Show, Best in Print, and a Gold award. We’re especially proud to have been so recognized and honored by our peers right here in New Jersey!
Epiduo Acne Awareness Mailers—Gold Award

Acne can have a lasting emotional impact on patients, undermining their confidence and self-esteem. But dermatologists and general practitioners often see acne as merely an inconvenience that will pass with age. How do we remind them that the impact is more than skin deep? How do we encourage healthcare professionals to talk to their patients about acne as a treatable medical condition?
Our answer was to create a dimensional direct mailer for National Acne Awareness Month that compelled them to look a little deeper. The front of the piece features percentage symbols that look like pimples. Pull-tabs open windows in the symbols to reveal the high percentage of prom-age patients negatively impacted by acne—the statistics beneath the surface.
Well received by healthcare professionals, the Epiduo Acne Awareness Mailers helped bring acne top of mind for them—and helped us win big at ADCNJ!
What’s more, our golden showing is just the beginning. We’re barely halfway through 2011 and already hearing powerful echoes.
